Tutor Questions
Q:
What are the registration requirements to become a tutor?
A:
Having a certification from a recognized institution or state board of education always helps, but it's not necessary for tutoring. Many tutors in our database are college students and business professionals who are experts in a certain subject or variety of subjects.
Q:
How do I get paid?
A:
IntelliMath does not provide an interface for transferring money. The amount and means of payment are settled directly between you and your solicitor.
Q:
What tools does IntelliMath provide for me to tutor my solicitors?
A:
Currently, IntelliMath’s online tutoring features include a live chat system and an e-mail messaging system, however, soon we will be implementing a fully integrated blog-style web portal where tutors can host lessons, share files, and embed videos.
Q:
Is there a fee for using the IntelliMath site?
A:
If you haven’t already registered, when you create an account you have list of choices to decide which type of account you want. You could use IntelliMath completely free for as long as you like. With a free account you can advertise your services and list your qualifications and users can use the site to find you. However, if you want to use IntelliMath’s online learning tool or to enable users to contact you, you will have to upgrade your account.
Q:
How will students be able to find me?
A:
When a student uses our site’s search tool, if you match the filters that the searcher selected, you will appear in the results in order of relevancy. It is also a good idea to go browsing in the
Tutors Wanted
section of the site to find students looking for specific criteria in a tutor. You are very likely to find a student you could tutor there.
